Senior meeting Wednesday 5th at 8:15 in the PAC.

 

All FBLA members attending State in the morning need to report to old attendance office immediately following announcements.

 

Seniors - If you want your name to be in the drawing for scholarship money at the B.E.S.T. club banquet, you must join the B.E.S.T. club by Thursday, April 13.  Dues are $12.  See Mrs. Perkins.

Chess club will meeting today after school in the media center.

 

There will be no soccer tryouts today or tomorrow. We will resume tryouts on Thursday at 3:30 for girls and 5:00 for boys at Calhoun Field.

 

The Spring Blood Drive is Wednesday, April 12 from 8-2. The sign up list is now on the counter in the office along with permission forms. Anyone 16 or over can give and 16 and 17 years olds must have a permission form signed by a parent. Seniors, don't forget about giving twice during your senior year to get a Red Blood Donor cord for graduation. If someone is giving for you at another location or you gave at another location, the forms are on the counter that need to be filled out.

 

JCJC will host an ACT Prep Camp June 6 – 8 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day. The cost for the camp is $150.00. Deadline to sign up is May 26th. Information is available in the counselor’s office.

 

Mississippi Scholars Banquet is April 18th at 6:00 p.m. at Life Church.

 

Class of 2017 – You are invited to Bobcats at the Bank on April 19th from

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Campus Tours, Games and Activities, Food and Admittance to the Ballgame is available. Visit www.jcjc.edu/recruiting to pre-register.  

 

Seniors – Graduation Practice has been scheduled for May 17th 8:00 – 11:00. Attendance is mandatory.

 

Senior Fee of $60.00 is due to Mrs. Pippen in the high school office by April 13th.   

 

Forrest General is now preparing for auditions for Spirit Girls program. Grades 7th -12th grade for the 2017-18 school year. Girls interested may request an application, packet for more information you my pick a form up in the High School office.

 

There will be a 2nd order of the West Jones tank tops. You can now get these in a comfort color t-shirt. Order forms are in the High School office. Last day to order t shirts is Wednesday April 5th. Cost is $15.

Deadline for AP students to order AP Exams is April 5th. Payments must be received in full to order an exam. See Mrs. Mauldin for payment and ordering information ASAP.

         

The BEST Club Honors Banquet will be held Saturday, May 6, 6:00 p.m. at the Magnolia Center. Please check the bulletin board in Building One for grades 9-12 and the Middle School Trophy Case for Grades 7-8 for the list to see if your name is listed to attend the banquet. Please Note: To be eligible to attend the banquet and be awarded a B.E.S.T. Club pin, a student must have maintained an 80 average in all of his/her classes during ALL three nine weeks grading periods during the 2016-17 school year. Please see Mrs. Chandler in Building One in the Attendance Office by April 10 if you think your name has been omitted from the list. Banquet invitation letters with additional information will be given out in your English Class on Tuesday, April 11.

 

The following students placed third in FFA State Competition:

In Poultry Judging- Mason Gavin, Matthew Harrison, Oscar Martinez, and Candace Nolan.

In Agricultural Mechanics- Dalton Lapeyrous, Dalton Butler, Brayden Stephenson, Brody Busby.

 

Also competing at State competition:

Dairy products Evaluation- Coley Clark, Dillon butler, Cameron Johnston

Dairy Cattle Evaluation- Brody Hamm, Dalton Langley, Cole Johnston Donivan Chastain

 

Softball will play at home tonight against Laurel.
