West Jones Elementary School, serving the communities of western Jones County, was established in August of 2000 and is one of the larger elementary schools in Jones County. The school currently serves Kindergarten thru sixth grade and has an enrollment of over 1000 students.
In our school, a variety of goals maximize student achievement. Increase reasoning, thinking skills and enhancing acceptable student behavior insure acceptable student behavior. One philosophy West Jones Elementary School is dedicated to is the mission of positive educational opportunities and excellence in the classroom.

**Procedures for ELL Achievement Results: ELL students will be given test results as received by the State Department. Parents may request a meeting to have results explained to them by certified English Language Teacher. Parents may request a copy of the test in Spanish, which will be provided by the District ELL translator.
