The vision of West Jones Elementary is to promote excellence in education by developing life-long learners

and productive citizens who are valued as unique individuals.

6th Grade Writing Project

Sixth grade students enjoyed a Christmas writing project. The focus was precise/vivid language. They exceeded our expectations, and the judges had a very difficult time making their decision. The winner won a gingerbread house kit, and the runner ups won edible paint cookies. Special thanks to Cheryl Jordan for leading the judging and BreAnn Russell for the cookie donations.

Star Reach Volcanos S.R. Volcanos vocanos

The fourth grade Star Reach students Super Science class learned about predicting volcano eruptions. They studied how scientists predict volcano eruptions and created their own "shake detector". The students then created their own model volcano.
