ZACH NOBLES
HEAD COACH |
Zach Nobles joined the South Jones
coaching staff in 1999 as an assistant football coach.
As a senior football player at South Jones, Nobles
earned All-Division/County Honorable Mention honors.
Since beginning his career at South Jones, Coach Nobles
has coached numerous sports (football, baseball, boys’
soccer, swimming, tennis). Coach Nobles was an
assistant for the 2001 and 2004 football seasons in
which the Braves reached the state playoffs. In 2007,
Nobles guided the Braves tennis team to a 4th overall finish in the 4-A state tournament. In that
same year, his mixed doubles team won the State
Championship while his boys’ doubles team reached the
semifinals. In 2008, the boys’ doubles team won the
State crown in the #2 bracket. Coach Nobles guided
another boys’ doubles team to the state tournament in
2011. During his tenure, Nobles has seen five tennis
players continue their careers at the collegiate level.
In addition to coaching swimming and tennis, Coach
Nobles teaches Mississippi Studies and World Geography
and is actively involved with the Fellowship of
Christian Athletes. He is a 1999 graduate of the
University of Southern Mississippi. He also earned a
master’s degree from Liberty University. He is married
to Jennifer and they have two sons, Josiah and Benji.
