JCJC Recruiter Misty Dickes, JCJC Recruiter, will be on campus April 6th beginning at 8:30 am in room 3 to conduct Jone Up Close registration for those students that have appllied to attend JCJC this fall.
Scholarship Opportunities
  • AEE/MS Scholar Scholarship Applications are in the Career Center, Counselor's office, and Room 1C. They are due Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
  • Kiwanis Club Scholarship forms (Due March 31) are in the Career Center (Rm. 2 Building 1)
  • Senior TARS Members: You may pick up a scholarship application from Mrs. Smith from March 9th - March 31st.  The deadline to submit your application will be Monday, April 3, 2017.
  • Golden Vision Scholarships forms are in the Career Center. They are due April 12, 2017.
Cap and Gown Fee Beginning on January 1, a late fee was added for those that have NOT already ordered their Cap and Gown.  If you have NOT ordered your Cap and Gown, you will need to do so by calling the Jostens Jackson office at 601-362-0020 to order over the telephone.  If you have already ordered and still have a balance, you can bring your payments to the attendance office.  Checks need to be made payable to Jostens Service Center.
Senior Fee Senior Fee $40 should be paid to Mrs. Felecia in the attendance office. This fee is for rental of the Magnolia Center, diploma printing, etc.  It is separate from cap and gown and is payable to NEJ.

  • Serteens is having a canned food drive for the Glory House in Laurel.  There is a Barrel outside Mrs. Thrash’s room for canned food items.  Items needed are peanut butter, jelly, canned vegetables, fruits, instant oatmeal, grits, soup, juice boxes, sugar, flour, coffee, cups, paper plates, pudding cups, etc.  Anything and everything will be appreciated.  Serteens, this is for 3 community service hours.  You MUST bring at least 5 items to receive 3 hours.  All of these items can be brought for little expense at Dollar Tree or Dollar General. 
  • The last day to bring items for the Glory House is Wed., April 5.
Senior Beta Pie a Teacher in the Face! Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Langley and Mrs. Rice for reaching the goal!!!! These teachers will get a pie in the face at the talent show finals on March 28th.

Northeast Jones Girls Volleyball Tryout Information

A clinic with WCU has been rescheduled for April 11th and 12th. Tryouts will take place on April 13th.  See Coach Brashier or Coach Padgett for details.

Tiger Swim Team

Sign-ups for next year’s swim team are in the middle and high school office. If you are interested, sign the list and pick up a packet. There will be a mandatory meeting on April 5, 2017 at 5:30 pm in the Middle School Media Center. If you have any questions, see Mr. Smith in the middle school.

  • Pie a Teacher in the Face!
    Any teacher that receives $50 in his/her can at the Walk-A-Thon will get a pie in the face at the talent show finals after Spring Break. Students will write their name on a slip of paper for every $1 donated.  Once a teacher reaches $50, we will draw a student’s name out of the jar to see who gets to pie that teacher.  All proceeds go toward sending students to National competition in June/July.Teachers that are participating (as of 3/3)

NEJ WALKATHON!! FRIDAY, MARCH 10!

Our 7th annual NEJ Walkathon to benefit Relay for Life will take place Friday, March 10th. Activites include PIE IN THE FACE contest, DUNKING BOOTH, Pink Pong, pie eating contest, Hula Hoop Contest, Cornhole Toss, and Plinko! Food items available for purchase include candy, chips, hotdogs, pizza, McAlister's tea and cookies, cupcakes, pickles, pies, cotton candy, popcorn, kettle korn, breakfast, fried oreos, funnel cakes, and drinks. Let's make this 7th Tiger Walk the best ever!

Cap and Gown Fee Beginning on January 1, a late fee was added for those that have NOT already ordered their Cap and Gown.  If you have NOT ordered your Cap and Gown, you will need to do so by calling the Jostens Jackson office at 601-362-0020 to order over the telephone.  If you have already ordered and still have a balance, you can bring your payments to the attendance office.  Checks need to be made payable to Jostens Service Center.
Senior Fee Senior Fee $40 should be paid to Mrs. Felecia in the attendance office. This fee is for rental of the Magnolia Center, diploma printing, etc.  It is separate from cap and gown and is payable to NEJ.

  • Serteens is having a canned food drive for the Glory House in Laurel.  There is a Barrel outside Mrs. Thrash’s room for canned food items.  Items needed are peanut butter, jelly, canned vegetables, fruits, instant oatmeal, grits, soup, juice boxes, sugar, flour, coffee, cups, paper plates, pudding cups, etc.  Anything and everything will be appreciated.  Serteens, this is for 3 community service hours.  You MUST bring at least 5 items to receive 3 hours.  All of these items can be brought for little expense at Dollar Tree or Dollar General.

  • Mugshot orders, money, unsold tickets must be turned in by Friday, March 3rd.
  • It’s Mugshots time again!  NEJ Sr. Beta is selling Mugshots burgers as a fundraiser with delivery on Friday, March 10 (Friday before Spring Break).  Plates are $10 and include a burger, chips, and a drink.  Deliveries will be made to schools if there are 10 or more plates sold.
  • All Sr. Beta members need to go by and pick up Mugshot tickets from Mrs. Stroo ASAP.
  • Applications are available in Mrs. Stroo’s room if you would like to join Sr. Beta. You must have a 90 or above average in each class/subject on your semester report card.
TARS Any senior TARS member who did not participate in the 2nd community service project (cleaning supplies in Nov-Dec) is not eligible to receive honor cords to wear at graduation. You have until Wednesday, March 1st to submit cleaning supplies in order to change your eligibility status.
