NEJ Senior Walk
Graduates walking the hall picture. Picture of graduates walking. Picture of graduates wallking the halls.

Recently, the graduating high school seniors from NEJ returned to where it all began here at East Jones Elementary. Adorned in their caps and gowns, these seniors set off on their “Senior Walk.” While this time is typically rich with future-pondering possibilities, it’s also a beautiful opportunity to reflect on past triumphs. This walk gave each graduate the unique opportunity to physically trek back through their years of schooling here at EJE, recalling memories and appreciating their journeys.  As they marched down the halls of each grade, our Tiger Cubs sat in awe, completely inspired by their accomplishments. Congratulations and best wishes to the NEJ Class of 2018!

Important Reminders!

  • School Starts promptly at 7:45am. Any student arriving after will be marked tardy and will have to serve detention after three unexcused tardies. Please keep in mind that check in times later than 10:00am will result in an unexcused absence.
  • Early checkouts must be kept to a minimum. Unless it is absolutely necessary, your child should remain in school until dismissal time. As stated in the handbook, early withdraws are to be approved by the principal in order for withdrawal to be excused. Regular check out ends at 2:00pm as we begin the early dismissal process at that time. There will be no checkouts allowed after 2:00pm. No exceptions.
  • Transportation changes should not occur on a regular basis. If you must change transportation for your child, you must do so in writing and we must receive your note no later than 12:30pm.
  • Please make sure your child arrives at school with the necessary school supplies. If we are having fun day or days when the students may need spending money, you should send your child's money in an envelope and send it with them to school. The office staff will not accept any money in the office. Students will not be allowed to call home for supplies or money.
